Preparing Dim Sum


The China, a family owned and operated Restaurant & Sports Bar with 4.5 decades of experience, has been lighting up the corner of Hancock Street & Chapman Street in Wollaston Center in Quincy, since December 2013. A Chinese restaurant with and Asian American flair that connects food, sports & entertainment to our multi-cultural patrons of all ages!

Our Sports themed mural around the entire restaurant represents DECADES of CHAMPIONS showing off Title Town, USA. There are fifteen flat screen TV's, with a few in the bathrooms, so you don't miss a minute of action. We also have Keno, along with live music every weekend with superb DJ's spinning your favorite tunes.

The China serves Dim Sum everyday from 9 am to 3 pm with carts rolling through the dinning room. But what differs The China from other DIM SUM HOUSES is that we serve it till 1 am by menu. Dim Sum is a Chinese light meal or brunch, like tapas, eaten mostly from morning to early afternoon with family or friends. It consists of a wide spectrum of small dishes, from sweet to savory. It has combinations of meats, vegetables, seafood and fruits. It is usually served in small baskets or dishes for sharing.

The China has a bi-cultural menu which represents some authentic Chinese dishes along side some pub food, like burgers and pizzas, but the pizzas are not only your average pub pizzas (although cheese and pepperoni are on the menu). Some of the fan favorites are The General Gau's pizza and Boneless Spare Rib pizza. Each pizza has a sauce that is pared with it's toppings, then topped with mozzarella cheese and baked to perfection on our hand-kneaded dough.

All of our dishes are made to order with vegetable oil, the best quality meats and fresh vegetables, so you may ask us to omit or add any ingredient or seasoning. We have a vast selection of VEGETARIAN and GLUTEN FREE choices. Our menu is available 365 days a year and served till 1 am, including all holidays.

The China is my vision where EAST meets WEST under one roof to make sure you have the best time and culinary experience!
